Today, I am going to be starting a new section of my blog called Takeaway! The purpose of takeaway is to showcase a few lessons learned, advice, or simply tips when planning your soiree. The images featured in takeaway will be a photograph of one previous party or wedding I showcased for the week.
Today’s wedding takeaway is going to be taken from the Monique & Josh’s Colorful Rustic Wedding! One of the uncertain aspects the couple faced leading up to their wedding was the possibility of rain! When booking the venue for an an event, especially if its outdoors there’s always the scary factor of having bad weather conditions when the actual event comes around.
Sometimes in life, there are just some things you can’t handle or control and nature in all its splendid beauty is one of them. One of the key insights I loved when reading about this wedding was a few words of wisdom the groom exchanged to his bride when they found out there indeed was going to be rain he said “Just lean into it.” As soon as I read those words, it spoke so much truth. Everything will be okay regardless of the turn of events. Ever since I was little I have been in love with the wedding shows on TLC, and over the past few years I have loved the connection with nature when using the outdoors for an event space. When I’m in the process of planning my big day, I will completely take this advice in mind, since I will be uncertain of how the weather will be one thing I’ll remember is to lean into it.
