One of the shear ways to prevent having a stressful wedding is to manage your time efficiently.

Today I’m starting from the beginning including reasons why having a wedding planning guide is important. A wedding planning guide is a book that is geared towards assisting brides with being organized throughout the planning process of their wedding. Now, no matter how big or small your wedding may be having one of these books on hand along the planning process is essential. A wedding planning guide includes a wide variety of sections including budget checklists, day of wedding timeline, wedding contacts and more. There are a wide variety of individuals who sell their own wedding planning guide’s for brides to purchase which you can find by doing a simple Google search. However, if you don’t have the money to purchase your own wedding planning guide there are a variety of ways to create your own by printing out templates online.

Here are a few reasons why having a wedding planning guide should be on your to do list after your engagement.

1. Mise En Place

Mise En Place, is a French word otherwise known as everything in it’s place. One of the most important reasons why having a wedding planning guide is essential for brides is simply because it allows you to keep all of your documents in once place. There’s no need to stress where the address for your florist is or what date you planned to take your engagement sessions.

2. Stay Organized

Organization, ORganization, ORGANIZATION. I can’t stress this enough guys. Let’s just think for a moment all of the things you have to worry about and keep track of in the crazy road in planning your wedding. There’s researching vendors, finding vendors, determining your budget, finding a wedding theme, determining your entertainment,  I mean the list goes on and on.

3. Time Management

Time flies by often more times than we would want or like to admit sometimes. One of the shear ways to prevent having a stressful wedding is to manage your time efficiently.  By including a variety of worksheets that allow you to see what stage you may be at in your wedding you are already on the way to planning a less stressful wedding.

  1. First things first, in love with this wedding! And hands down, time management is a GREAT tip! This is something I currently know nothing about and everyone refers to it as “Angie minutes” (5min = an hour in real time) I know, totally horrible! Can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

    • “5 min= an hour an real time” wow that is crazy you must have an extremely busy schedule. Sometimes though especially when I am in blogging mode I feel like time flies before you know it and the day’s over, so I’ve definitely tried to keep a schedule and timeline to stay on track.

  2. Looking forward to this series! I had a few checklist style books I used for wedding planning, and they were so helpful. It’s so important to do as much a head of time so you can enjoy the time before your wedding!

Great tips! One I would probably add is to take breaks during the whole crazy process.
