Rustic Folk Wedding Style Ideas by Dress for the Wedding

Today I am so honored to be having Sukey editor at the amazing wedding blog Dress for the Wedding guest posting today.

I was so flattered when Charmaine asked me to do one of the wedding style posts I create on my blog, Dress for the Wedding for Rustic Folk Weddings. In the process, I realized I’ve done only very few rustic looks, but that will soon be changing! It’s so fun to create styles with the lace, floral, and antiqued textures that I think make for the perfect rustic wedding look.

This lace dress, with a halter style and sweetheart neckline, seems like the perfect balance of laid-back rustic style with enough formality to make the bridesmaids in the wedding party still stand out. This dress is shown in a dusty blush color, but it comes in all sorts of hues, and you can even change the color of the lining to have other colors peek out of the lace. I gave this bridesmaid some lacy heels and a pair of antiqued earrings with a filigree bracelet. The patina of these pieces combined with lace gives everything that simply elegant country style.

Attending a rustic wedding is certainly less formal than a black tie wedding, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dress up! Pretty dressy casual dresses, like this floral fit and flare dress, are perfectly in place at a rustic wedding. Pretty pastel colors or chiffon prints always look nice too. Since some rustic weddings are held outside in pastoral locations, wearing pretty shoes that won’t stick in the grass or in a barn floor is a probably my biggest tip. Add some bright, fun accessories and a little lacy clutch for essentials and you’re ready to go!

Thanks so much for having me guest post Rustic Folk Weddings! I hope you all enjoy these looks!

I can’t thank you enough Sukey for creating these gorgeous rustic wedding style ideas. I absolutely LOVED them and I’m sure the readers will too.
