French Country wedding in British Columbia

I just don’t think a wedding can get any sweeter than Michelle and Sean’s French Country Wedding photographed by Joanna Moss Photography, which took place in the couple’s backyard of their beautiful home.

There’s just so many swoon-worthy details captured throughout this French Country wedding I don’t know which one I love more. For starters, the bride wore a gorgeous strapless princess gown adorned with shimmery crystals which she paired with sparkly silver heels and a showstopper bouquet designed by Floralista Flower Studio that was bursting with color and personality. When people say you glow on your wedding day their not lying and Michelle looked absolutely radiant… wouldn’t you agree! The couple’s wedding invitations were very elegant with a black and white color palette that just looked incredible and wait to you get a sight of their wedding cake it’s beyond gorgeous. The cake was topped with such a lovely assortment of fushia, purple, and red blooms that will leave you in awe.

One of the aspects that makes a wedding special is being able to celebrate a couple’s love with the family and friends you cherish and I just adore how this couple incorporated their kids through every step of the way. Just wait to you see them their two times adorable and as cute as can be folks!

Words from the photographer  Joanna Moss Photography

Every so often I get to work with a couple that I just fall in love with, and I fall in love with their story. Michelle and Sean is definitely that couple, but more than that their values, hard work and their family. This fairytale beautiful DIY backyard wedding like no other. The ceremony was organized at the back of the home where white covered chairs with purple sashes and the most beautiful florals I’ve ever seen awaited 75+ guests. The bride and groom got ready in separate homes on the property, and I spent the morning with the bride and her mom, daughter and sister getting ready. Putting on her dress and jewelry, it was amazing to experience the whole morning with them. We organized a first look on the property of the French Country style mansion, which has an awesome hedge maze growing at the front entrance. Although I was hopig to have the bride walk the maze to get to her groom, it would have taken her right in front of him several times, so we had her walk over the hedge instead. The first look was amazing, very emotional for this couple and their family watching from the dining room window I the home. The bridal party was the brides sister and grooms brother, it’s fun shooting with a small bridal party. We had some amazing backdrops to work with on this property, huge trees and shade in the back, beautiful home, and a kick ass red barn- a photographers dream! The ceremony was beautiful, the day was warm and sunny. The brides mom made an amazing wedding cake, which was delicious (yup I got to try some!). The reception was a lovely fresh elegant BBQ, with farm fresh veggies. I had a wonderful time getting to know the couples three kids, who were just adorable, so much fun to work with. This wedding was an amazing experience and I feel blessed to have been a part of it. Enjoy the photos!
