The pregnancy story and birth of Elliana Marie

One thing you can never truly prepare for is the arrival of your baby after being pregnant for 9 months.

That special moment when the doctor puts your baby on your chest and you begin to meet the special miracle that has been growing inside you for so long is such an indescribable experience me and my husband will never forget. The moment when you hear your babies first cry and look into his or her eye your instantly connected and for that moment the world seems a distance far away and all you can think about is this beautiful little baby right in front of you. As some of you may have noticed I have been away from blogging because I unexpectedly went into early labor last week while watching The Fault in Our Stars… yes I have the best luck.. After debating whether my contractions were indeed contractions or false labor pains I decided to go to the hospital with my husband just in case my instincts were right.. and after being checked I was 4 centimeters dilated when I arrived at the hospital. Word of advice ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS! After enduring contractions which felt like menstrual cramps I finally got an epidural at 7 centimeters and decided to close the book on my plan for a natural delivery. A few hours later at 10:43 am Tuesday August 12th Elliana Marie was born weighing a healthy 6 lbs and 9 ounces. It has been incredible experience learning how to be a parent and new mom to this little girl of mine with my husband Joseph. For the past week I have just been enjoying being a mom and really living in the moment with my baby. I’m excited to go back to blogging again this week and being active in the blogosphere since I’ve been absent and haven’t read an email or been active on social media. I have to admit being untapped to the world wide web has been nice however blogging is not a job for me it’s something I love doing because it involves my passion of event planning and rightfully so I can’t stay away from it to long haha. So stay tuned for fresh new content on the blog. But in the meantime I’m just loving being a mom and learning along with my baby and husband how to adjust to our new lives. Hope everyone is having an awesome week!
