There’s just something undeniably special about a backyard wedding.
Whether it is taken place in the house you grew up in as a child well into adulthood or is set at a family friends residence….. backyard weddings hold something sentimental that just can’t be duplicated at a regular wedding venue. This is one of the reasons I absolutely love backyard bashes you feel like your home and completely comfortable in your surroundings. This statement couldn’t be anymore of a reality for today’s featured bride and groom Shauna and Jaime. They planned a gorgeous rustic summer wedding with a colorful purple palette filled with tons of diy details. The bride bouquet took an untraditional twist by not incorporating flowers instead she decorated her with stunning vintage jewelry and honored a family relative by placing their photo in the center. That’s just one of the amazing diys you’ll see throughout this wedding. Get ready to be in awe of every last detail.
Words from the photographer Clove Photography
This couple decided that there could be no better location to have their wedding than the brides childhood home. Out in the country, not a detail left untouched. The family property was the perfect setting to share with friends and family, including many traveled from Ireland. Vintage touches everywhere accompanied by baby’s breath, and shades of purple. The couple wanted to provide their guests with a full event not just a wedding. A beautiful day ceremony, followed by an outside cocktail hour, long with tasty appetizers being served. Then lavender, decorated from top to bottom with sweet little details, including a popcorn bar, and a pie and desert bar. It was an amazing event not just a wedding, where every guest was made to feel like a part of the family.
