As soon as today’s featured groom Tim heard his soon to be bride Malissa singing a Taylor Swift song and their eyes locked and I guess you can say it was love at first sight.
As fate would have it that wasn’t the last time the two saw each other and soon after they spent the days following hiking, watching the sun set, and sitting near the local streams together. On Dec 1st Tim proposed to Malissa on a bridge overseeing the majestic beauty of Lake Hume.
Let’s face it there’s an undeniable serene beauty about having an outdoor wedding that is unlike anything you’ll ever see or experience at an indoor venue. That’s exactly what lead today’s couple to plan their wedding at the Sequoia National Park located in California. From the images captured by Carly Short Photography you can easily see they planned a gorgeous wedding that is simply a beauty to look at!

Tim and Malissa fell in love after he took a job at Hume Lake Christian Camp up in the Sequoia National Forest, where Malissa worked as a school teacher.
Surrounded by so much natural beauty their love story is one meant for a story book. With so many fantastic landscapes around them they decided that the place they fell in love was the perfect place to say “I do”. The two got married in a field in the camp, nestled in the mountains the perfect spot for their rustic mountain wedding.
Malissa knew right away that the “Natural” theme was the only way to go since they were after all, up in the mountains. Her mother is a florist and went to work creating the perfect centerpieces, bouquets and cake toppers. This was her time to let all of her creative tendencies to shine and all the guests were blown away by the attention to every last detail. The night ended when Tim & Malissa drove off in their historic car into the mountains.
