There’s nothing I love more than an engagement session that brings out the personalities of the couple involved. Today’s country winter engagement session from Danica Sullivan Photography beautifully captures Jessica and Travis love for the outdoors and it’s remarkably beautiful.
Special words from the photographer Danica Sullivan Photography
Jessica and Travis met one short year ago. We shot their engagement session out on Travis’s family property. Jessica and I had some great ideas planned, Travis was game for anything
The shoot was fun, laid back, and involved everything they love; we had haybales, cows, firearms, laughter, their truck, a fire, and s’more roast. It was 100% outdoor country and 100% them.
Words from the bride Jessica:
We both grew up in Dawson Creek, BC and I spent a few years in Saskatchewan. I was in town visiting family for Christmas in 2013. On December 29th I met Travis at Fynnagin’s Pub. We ended up going our separate ways because I wasn’t sure if I was moving back to Dawson Creek yet. Once I got back I realized that it wasn’t where I wanted to be and I really missed my old life back in Dawson. I packed up and a week later moved home. The whole time I was driving I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wanted to give Travis a chance. Once I got home on January 21st, I texted him and said “So when’s date night?” We went on our first date on January 23rd at Mr. Mikes.
I knew instantly I was crazy about him. We ended up going back to his house going out on his side by side, and drinking with his friends. We hung out all weekend and by January 27th we were official. We talked about marriage almost instantly and 8 months later he proposed with the most beautiful ring. I knew it was meant to be and I am so grateful that I followed my gut feeling and moved back home.
