Have you ever dreamt of planning a wedding inside a unique brewery? Well today’s couple Amanda and Jon did just that. They planned a wedding celebration filled with love at their favorite local brewery Destihl Brewing. This Illinois brewery wedding was beautifully captured by talented photographer Emma Mullins Photography. I adore the personal touches the couple incorporated throughout their wedding day. Their save the dates were just incredibly sweet with the message “Love is Brewing” on a wine coaster front and center. The couple’s wedding centerpieces also incorporated an immense array of unique florals which complimented the couple’s personalities and style. Amanda and Jon chose to tie the knot at one of their favorite Illinois breweries surrounded by their favorite people. After a rainy morning, the clouds parted just in time for some stunning outdoor photos at a nearby forest preserve. I loved the wedding party fashion and mismatched bridesmaids dresses (note Amanda’s Maid of Honor in floral print!). The couple exchanged vows in an emotional outdoor ceremony, officiated by a longtime family friend. Guests celebrated into the night, sipping on freshly brewed beer and keeping the dance floor moving! It was a perfectly intimate and relaxed summer Midwest celebration.
I loved how much personalization went into this wedding. The majority of decor items (including those stunning bouquets) were handmade by Amanda with the help of family and friends. Many favors and food items were also DIY – some even secret family recipes! The impressive dessert spread was made from scratch, and definitely a highlight of the evening.
Amanda and Jon’s wedding was such a happy day filled with details that really made it unique to them. I think this wedding is awesome inspiration for any couple looking for alternative ways to celebrate, and incorporate their own personal touches.

Planning a wedding during a pandemic can be stressful and overwhelming. With all the businesses changes you may be wondering should I postpone our big day or keep it more intimate. There’s just so many questions engaged brides are asking in this season of life that can bring uncertainty. One tip I can give is to do what you and your fiancee feel is right on whether to progress with planning or delay. Sometimes when planning a wedding you’ll get input from so many individuals on how things should be or go which can be stressful. So in this wedding season just do what makes you and your fiancee happy and after all that’s all that matters.
